DIRECTORS STATEMENT:

Zoe, “Longing is a visual piece. I wanted to explore the theme of Longing with two characters in one location. Both characters are grieving and are wanting to have  some sense of normality but in order for this to happen they must face their current loss. Dawn struggles with her own reality. In order to find some sense of closure she yearns for Rashid’s presence. She delves into her subconscious in order for this to occur.”

“STEAM was an amazing experience where I felt I learned that I have a voice and I wanted to do more! I particularly wanted to explore digital photography. In order for this to occur I would need more than £40! Thanks to crowd funding website indigogo.comwe were able to raise £1000. Our plan was to split the cost over production and distribution but unfortunately this was not possible as we needed to hire particular equipment so the majority of what was raised was spent on production.”

Zoe, “Despite the low budget I am exceedingly proud of the end product as well as the crew who were involved on the two day shoot. Im now looking forward to raising finance for my 3rd short, UMBRELLA!”
